The first round of XI Russian Curling Championship has finished. 
    Womens team "Mosvitch-1" (Moscow) (Olga Jarkova, Nkerioka Ezekh, Anastassia Scoultan and Anjela Tuvaeva) confidently won all games and is leading in this tournament. Team of Tatiana Smirnova, who took part in some European Championships, has stood on the second place. If they wouldn't offensive lost against Saint-Petersburg "Lesgaftovets", they would held this place individually. But with them 7 points has Yana Nekrasova's SKA-1 (Saint-Petersburg) who is going third.
     In Mens competitions all is going intricating and more interesting. Firstly in Russian culring history six teams have chances to win. But if all are already became accustomed to presenting "Moskvitchs" and SKAs teams on leading part, it was a surprise of good play of Rosin Saint-Petersburg team, who is going the second now.
    The next round of Russian Championship will be in March,2003.
    Russian National teams, which will participate in European Championship in Grindenwald were formed.
    It will be Mens team of Alexei Tselousov (Tselousov, Ryjov, Makuha, Vorobiev and Kirikov as alternative) and team  Womens team of Olga Jarkova (Jarkova, Ezekh, Scoultan, Tuvaeva and Nekrasova as alternative).
